Four to Go Racing took to the high plains in Broadview, MT at the Jim & Tracy's Wild West Shoot Out, put on by Y.O.R.R.  Four to Go Racing took our two Arctic Cat Wild Cat X's to compete in the UTV class. The Wildcats are all Arctic Cat factory stock, with the exception of safety upgrades.

Four to Go Racing took to the track on Friday afternoon for a pre run of the course.  Don the driver of the #0 Wildcat miss judged a whoops section and had a issue that caused the #0 Wildcat to be a scratch for the race.  It was a good thing we had a Warn winch to assist in the recovery of the Wildcat.   Four to Go Racing will make necessary repairs and have the #0 Wildcat back in action soon.

Dick, driver of the #6 Wildcat and veteran racer, completed his pre run made some adjustments topped it off with fuel and prepared for the 140 mile race.
The UTV race started at 8:00 pm.  Dick started mid pack and went out and ran his race early, found his pace and rhythm. As the second lap finished darkness was setting in, thankfully we had a Quake LED light bar to light up the darkness,  the rugged course was starting to take its toll on the competition.  Dick stopped for fuel on the beginning of lap 4, fueled the Wildcat and had a bit of an issue with a fire and some very tense moments.  Thankfully we were able to put the fire out and continue along.  As the fifth and final lap began it was now getting close to midnight and the crisp cool air was really cooling off. A bit chilled and covered in mud, Dick finished at 12:25 am and ended up in fifth place, a great run and testament to finding a way to keep moving forward. 

Four to Go Racing had a great experience with the YORR folks and will definitely go back. 

Quake LED Lights

Among the new products that Four To Go has brought in is an LED light line manufactured here in Colorado. Quake LED lights are light bars in either a Dual Row or Single Row configuration. They are available in either a spot light / flood light or combination light. Quake makes these lights anywhere from an 8" bar all the way to a 50" bar.

The nice thing about Quake lights versus Rigid or VisionX is that these lights are affordable. Some of the Rigid and VisionX gets pretty expensive. The quality of the light is very good, the brightness and AMP Draw is also very similar. Stop by soon to see the new display...

New Product Announcement (Actually More Than One)

Four To Go has had a busy first quarter moving the showroom around to make room for the new addition of products...

Yes, there is you see a new Arctic Cat WildCat X ... While we are still learning the accessory side of this business we are also testing what products we like and don't like. Some companies have been more than willing to work with us and others not so much. One of the first changes that had to be made was the seats. From the factory the seats are not that fabulous and lead to a syndrome knows as 'Sore Butt Syndrome.' In one of the new WildCat's we put the MasterCraft Rubicon seat with a custom made bracket. In the Green WildCat we put the PRP replacement seats in with their bracket. Both seats fit great and look good...

Another addition, besides all of the UTV accessories, is Grizzly Coolers. These coolers are amazingly strong coolers that will hold ice for days. Rigid LED Lighting

As the world turns, technology gets better, products change and usually everything is great. It keeps manufacturers on their toes always hoping to be the next one with the next best product. This also keeps us, retailers, constantly learning to find out what the 'next' product is and if it will be worth a darn. I won't lie, I'm a tough sell. And usually I'm pretty slow about new products. I know, not a great business practice. I just like to make sure the 'bugs' are all worked out before I try to sell it.

 

Ramble ramble ramble..get to the point right? Rigid Lighting is an LED lighting company that makes a wide variety of lights, ranging in size, brightness, beam pattern, price, use, etc... Four To Go has been carrying Rigid Lights for a few years now, but just recently I have been enlightened. LED lights as a whole are great lights, they are very bright lights that draw very low amp draw, which is great. The light itself is very small which is unusual to get this kind of light out of. These are very versatile, they can be mounted anywhere and used all kinds of ways. Driving light, fog light, backup light, spot light etc. Rigid even has a Marine grade version of most of the lights made. Rigid was one of the first companies to come out with these type of lights and have proven to me to be worth the time and investment.

 

After doing some extensive research this past week, I'm impressed with the lights. They do everything they advertise plus more. And the lights are affordable. For the smallest light it is around $100.00 for the biggest lights they do get up to around $500.00, but you are getting an amazing amount of LED's. Most of the LED bulbs have 50,000 hour life span. Rigid offers spot beam, wide beams, driving beams, and flood lights. That should run the gamut of what you might need. They have anywhere from 2 LED lights all the way up to 100 LED lights.

 

 

Many of the desert racers have been using these lights for years. The 4WD aftermarket has also been on board...so for those of you that like the night time four wheeling adventure...these lights are for you. Bestop Rebates

November seems to be the time of Rebates... Bestop is offering a $50 mail in rebate on any Replacement top purchased through the end of the year.

Bestop Replacement tops are made to fit on the factory hardware so all you are replacing is the parts that wear out. If, however, you don't have factory hardware these tops won't fit. You have two different material options and you can either get clear or tinted windows.The front door skins (if you need them) are made to fit over the factory frame.

The sail cloth material is a very heavy duty material that reduces noise and increases insulation in the vehicle. This is a multi layer top that lasts longer than the standard material!

These tops fit extremely well because Bestop has the factory contract for making all the OEM tops for Jeep, Tracker, Amigo and other SUV's.

Warn Zeon Winch

Warn introduced a new line of winches called the Zeon winch a little over a year ago. As I'm slow to change from what I know, it took me awhile to figure out why this winch is better / different from the other line of winches. What can I say? I'm a self admitted slow learner.

 

Some of the new features of the Zeon line --

• Control Pack options -- This means that there is one winch, if you need to move the control pack, no big deal, if you like the look of the control pack on the top of the winch, no big deal. Great idea!
• All winches are one color -- the motor, gear box, control pack, tie plate are all the same color.
• New designed transmission and motor -- thicker stronger steel, new clutch lever, improved clutch operation. The motor has aluminum housing and new terminals with increased efficiency.
• New Drum -- Large one piece aluminum drum with better sealing and integrated rope anchor.
• Fast line speed and low amp draw
• Seals better -- keeping water and muck out of the winch.
• Automatic mechanical brake
• New light weight design -- especially if you go with the synthetic rope. This winch weighs about 20 pounds lighter than the VR Series of winches.

So summing it up -- this winch is faster, lighter, sealed better, new technology...It is a middle of the road priced winch. The Zeon series winch is available in 3 capacities ... 8000, 10,000 and 12,000 pounds. The 8 and the 10 are available with the synthetic rope as pictured below. All winches come with the appropriate fairlead and remote and wiring to the battery. If you need to remote mount the control pack a kit is required and sold seperatley.

The one problem that we have with the winch. The sizing is a little wider than all the others so occasionally fitting into a bumper can be a problem. Most manufacturers have fixed their openings in the bumpers so the new winch will fit, however, it is still something to watch out for!
